Darkan is a quiet country town located two and half hours drive southeast of Perth just off the Albany Highway. The small town is surrounded by farming areas producing wheat, sheep and cattle.
History and wildflowers are what spring to mind when thinking of Darkan.
Walk the 2.2km Darkan Heritage Trail which meanders through town into the pleasant surrounding bush and discover the history of the town. There are a number of different attractions in the area: visit the Boronia Reserve, check out some historic buildings or local art and craft, or just unwind and enjoy the flora and fauna of the area.
Take the time to check out all that Darkan has to offer.
Blackwood isn’t as far as people think. It’s a leisurely 3 hour drive from the city. Alternately there are Transperth Services as well private tours with companies such BlueValley Coaches, Sunset Tours and Wicked Limousines.
