Calender of Events

April
April with the Balingup Small Farm Field Day, an annual event held on the third Saturday in April, which attracts thousands of visitors who want to see just how you can make a living from small land holdings. Many diverse small businesses continue to grow and enhance the community. Colourful scarecrows abound around the town at this time.
August
August sees the town alive with wonderful tulips and the annual Balingup Medieval Carnivale which is held on the third Saturday in August , that take us all back to yesteryear with the King and Queen and their court on parade along with mad jesters, Lady Godiva and her prancing stallions. Watch the battle with the famous Grey Company and the dancing belles. The town crier may collar you with a gold coin fine for some imagined misdemeanour.
October
In October we see the Balingup Heritage Country Cheese Co hold its annual Wine & Cheese Fair with local wines to sample, from fruit wine to the traditional grape there is a flavour to suit every palette, with tasty locally produced cheeses to match, and a variety of stalls to tempt all ages.
November
The first week of November brings us the Festival of Country Gardens , with a stunning variety of gardens in Balingup and surrounding towns open to the public for visiting and inspiration.
Also in November we have "Art Happens in Balingup". A collection of very talented local artists displaying their work in the Balingup Town Hall for all to see and purchase.
Still in November we have the Jalbrook Balingup Classic Concert an annual outdoor concert held on the last Saturday of each November. The natural amphitheatre surrounded by a framework of towering eucalypts along Balingup Brook provides a stunning background to the stage for this night of concert magic under the stars.
